RHB ISLAMIC BOND FUND

Overview

Objective

To provide regular income to investors through investments in Islamic debt securities and bonds which are acceptable investment under the principles of Syariah.

Financial Year End: September 30
Distribution policy: Annually, if any, during the financial year.

Investor Profile

Suitable for investors who:-
  • are risk adverse;
  • want an investment that complies with the principles of Syariah;
  • want to have regular income from their investment;
  • want a professionally managed portfolio of Islamic debt securities and bonds; and
  • require higher returns than Islamic fixed deposits at an acceptable level of risk.

Strategy

The Fund will invest in Islamic fixed income securities only. Investment must carry a minimum long term credit rating of BBB and above or a minimum short term rating of P3 as assigned by RAM or its equivalent.
To contain credit risk, the Investment Manager will ensure that the diversification of credit rating (and duration standing) in the bond portfolio mitigate the overall risk position of the portfolio.
Asset Allocation:
  • Fixed Income Securities / Cash: 70% - 95%
  • Cash / Cash Equivalents: 5% - 20%
