RHB CASH MANAGEMENT FUND

Overview

Objective

To provide liquidity and regular income for investors through investments primarily in the money market.

Initial Offer: RM1.00 per unit.
Financial Year End: 31 July.

Distribution Policy: Income is calculated daily and paid monthly, depending on the level of income (if any) the Fund generates. Any accumulated income derived from the distribution shall be automatically reinvested into additional units of the Fund at monthly intervals.


RHB ISLAMIC CASH MANAGEMENT FUND

Overview

Objective

The Fund aims to provide liquidity and a regular stream of income by investing in Shariah compliant money market instruments.

RHB ASIA PASIFIC MAQASID FUND

Overview

Objective

The Fund’s objective is to invest in Shariah compliant securities in line with the “Maqasid” principle of Islam.  Maqasid means “goals” or “objectives” and in Islamic context, it can refer to the purpose of Islamic faith and part of Maqasid’s goal is preserving public good (Maslahah), whereby it looks at the public interest and welfare as a whole.

Initial Offer Period: 21 days commencing from Feb 22, 2010 at RM0.50 per unit.
Financial Year End: March 15
Distribution Policy: Distribution (if any) will be paid annually.


RHB-GS BRIC EQUITY FUND

Overview

Objective

The Fund’s objective is to seek to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investment in a
collective investment scheme, which invests primarily in securities of Brazilian, Russian, Indian and Chinese companies.

Note: Any material changes to the objective of the Fund require the Unit Holder’s approval.

Strategy

The Fund is a Fund-of-funds where at least 95% of the Fund's NAV will be invested in other collective investment schemes and up to 5% in liquid assets.

The aim of the Fund is to provide total returns primarily through investment in equity and equity-related securities of companies which offer attractive yields and sustainable dividend payments.

Suitable for investors who want capital growth as well as income and are willing to accept short term fluctuations in capital values.

Strategy

The Investment Manager will invest in companies that offer higher expected dividend yields compared to other companies in the market and whose cash-flow generated by business and management activities are expected to support such dividend payments. The Investment Manager therefore seeks to identify and invest in companies that focus on shareholder value in the form of sustainable dividend returns combined with the prospect for capital growth.

The Fund will invest abroad (up to 70% of its NAV) in equity and equity-related securities issued by companies in the Asia region and listed on established stock exchange in Asia. Such countries include Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan. The Fund may, if it deems fit and subject to SC's approval, invest in countries such as China and India or within other regions, e.g. Australia.

For fixed income securities, the Fund seeks investments amongst the Syariah compliant fixed income papers that are of investment grades. The Investment Manager uses conservative valuation parameters, focusing on several key numbers with respect to the company's historical price level and relative value to its peer universe. These numbers include price/earnings multiple of the company's historical price levels and relative value to its peer universe. These numbers include price/earnings multiple of the company, earnings growth rates, relative price earnings to growth, dividend yield, cashflow, balance sheet strength quality of management, return on assets and return on investments, among others. Quarterly earnings expectations and results are carefully followed, and the Fund's portfolio manager's investment strategy could differ if key macro and micro factors materially changes.
In addition to those describe above, the Fund may invest in fixed income securities to preserve the value of the Fund under volatile market conditions. Accordingly, the minimum equities holding would also be reduced to 70% of the NAV of the Fund.

The Investment Manager may also take temporary defensive measures that may be inconsistent with the Fund's principal strategy in attempting to respond to adverse market conditions, economics, political or any other conditions which the Investment Manager deem detrimental to the Fund.
